I don't think we have any rights left on this, but just in case I thought I would post.
We were booked for a trip in the UK in April 2020 (travelling as part of a bigger group but everyone paying separately).  Deposit paid in September 2019, balance paid 1st February 2020 (when no one knew what was about to hit).  The holiday obviously couldn't happen as we went in to lockdown in March 2020.  YGT offered the following options on the 23rd March (hospitality was shut down the Friday before):  Rebook within 12 months, a voucher, or claim on our own travel insurance for a full refund (which I assumed would mean paying an excess).  As we didn't know we would still be in such a situation 12 months down the line we went with the first option.  I should also point out as we didn't make the booking ourselves (someone from another family in our group is the lead booker) we weren't given any option to pay on a card but were given the bank details to pay YGT directly by bank transfer (I know, I know why didn't I question it!)
Fast forward to now and it is looking unlikely we will be able to travel and if we do it is certainly not the holiday we intended. So looking at our options today we can cancel but will have to pay £35 pp (there are 4 of us including a now 14 year old and a now 17 year old) - this is over 10% of the cost of our holiday.  We could hang in until 42 days before our departure date on this option.  The second option is we wait and see what is announced in March but if we decide to cancel then we will lose 100% of what we paid - this is assuming that we don't get put into lockdown until the middle of April - I am not sure what our options would be if we are in lockdown in April, I am guessing we go back to the start and rebook within 12 months, but by then our eldest will be 18 and may not want to come on such a holiday!
As I say, I think we have been well and truly done over by YGT and now don't have a leg to stand on, but just in case there is something we can do I thought I would post and if not, my advice would be never to use this company for any golfing holiday.
Thank you for reading, it feels a bit better to get that off my chest!

    > I think you are being a bit unfair on Your Golf Travel.  Did anyone know in March 2020 that we would still be in this situation nearly a year later?

    > Why not simply call YGT and ask them?  I am sure they will not purposely be trying to upset and alienate their customers.  April is also a while off and as you will know by now, things change constantly.  With a year of changes and cancellations under their belt they may have options to offer like extending the credit for longer.  The situation is however not their fault either so best advice would be stay civil and polite and try and find a solution that works for both sides but understand that concessions my have to be made on both sides.

You were given a range of options to chose from. With hindsight you made the wrong one from a personal financial perspective. That's not YGT's fault. Did your party have proper travel insurance in place?
