  • Hi amersall

Okay thanks I will try that. I don't know if this case handler was the one who has been dealing with all the Firstplus complaints or if she is cold to Firstplus so to speak but I will get in touch with her to explain my position bearing in mind what you suggested

    Thanks for your help.

Also put that whatever reasons they gave for not upholding, you accepted what their response was at the time but to then find out offers are now being made for the same reasons you gave.
Then ask for it to be
    escalated to ombudsman

    Thanks amersall,

I was a member of a Firstplus complaints group previously (there was a website created) and I remember that there was a court action raised (cant remember if it was a class action or an individual) by a fellow complainant but I think it went to Leeds County Court on the subject of Firstplus interest rate clause and that the judge found in favour of Firstplus.  This must have been around 2011 or 2012.........dont know if you were also a member of this group but do you think there will be a record of this action held?..........not sure if you were also a fellow member and if so you remember this too?

Thanks again for your help to date.

I am a member, do you think if you joined the group again you may find dates etc from when you made your complaints? It would help FOS.

  • Yes that would possibly help me and as you say FOS. I didn't realise there was still a group currently on the go? Can you tell me how I could join the group please if that was okay with you?

    It's on Facebook, FPC group.
Somewhere there will be option to join.
Let them know you were previously a member. You will get asked questions as this is a closed group so they need to sound you out.

  • Thats great thanks. I'm not on Facebook  but my wife is and our complaint is a joint complaint re our joint 2nd mortgage with Firstplus so hopefully that's okay.

I don't see a problem with that if one of you joined before
  • Thanks amersall......yes I had joined previously but think I gave up my membership when it went from a website to a Facebook group .......I will go and apply just now. Thanks again.
  • Hi amersall

My wife and I asked to join the FPC group on Facebook on Thursday but we haven't been accepted yet?  I would be happy to screenshot my letters from Firstplus or show you a copy of FOS email if you need further proof that our complaint is genuine?

    Thanks.
