Ensure you have proof and ensure that the claimant informs the CCBC asap1

A bit unlucky, attending a Speed Awareness Course to avoid a speeding fine, but came back with a private parking charge, which you're now unlikely to be able to avoid. Rather ironic, jumped into the fire in avoiding the frying pan - another analogy, sorry! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Ok, thanks again for the clarification and advice guys...much appreciated.
Umkomas - unlucky but also stupid!
There is a substantial amount of info on the net which insinuates that the correspondence I received was a scam - I guess I was just lazy researching and only listened to what I wanted to hear rather than the cold hard facts 🤣 - that's a story for another time about human nature! Architect of my own downfall!

Would have been an easy win for a keeper appeal to CEL followed by a POFA failure appeal to Popla , at the time of the PCN NTK1

But good to know if I find anyone else in my previous position.
Thanks again for the help - honestly has helped a lot - before I made my post I was resigned to the fact my re-mortgage due in 10 months was going to go badly - but feeling like Vito Corleone right now

You must make sure the CCBC has sight within the mentioned timescale, of a receipt showing you have paid the Judgment amount in full.
Do not rely on the PPC to notify the court of your payment. They have no incentive to do that.3 -
You're not alone, there are just so many who see the word 'ignore', (even though it's unlikely to have been given in anger by any reputable parking forum since 2013), then the Jack-in-the-box jumps out in their face up to 6 years later inducing petrifaction and a clueless flailing about in panic!Celt83 said:Ok, thanks again for the clarification and advice guys...much appreciated.

What a depressing thread.
An easy PCN to beat has now resulted in credit clamping, and to escape that, this poor victim is having to pay close to £300, pointlessly, to the likes of CEL, whose legal team is headed by an ex-Wonga barrister (make of that what you will).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
