If i pay it off and we 'can't go' then are they obliged to give us a date to go again in the future??0

If OP is paying in instalments and OTB have the card details with a CPA, they could just help themselves to any payment that's deemed to be contractually due....sheramber said:
if £370 is the balance of the deposit due then they will pursue you for it.bradztheman said:What's everyone's advice then? Pay it and hope i get a refund, or just dont pay it and hope indont get chased for £370....??0 -
No - if they cancel or make significant changes then they have obligations to offer a refund or an alternative, but if you cancel they're under no obligations other than those documented in their cancellation policy (maybe a small refund if early enough). You may be able to negotiate a rebooking (unlikely to be at no charge) if you do so early enough though....bradztheman said:If i pay it off and we 'can't go' then are they obliged to give us a date to go again in the future??0 -

The problem is how the Online Travel Agents like OTB work to assemble their packages. It's not like TUI or Jet2Holidays where they are a traditional tour operator who control every element (i.e. operate their own flights, have direct contracts with hotels).bradztheman said:What's everyone's advice then? OTA's just book flights with a low cost airline on your behalf, then pair it with an accommodation booking (sometimes a direct contract with the hotel or via an intermediary). That forms the package. Under the PTR's 2018, that is still classed as a package so you have the PTR rights.
The £370 you are being quoted, in addition to the £60 already paid, is likely the cost of the flights, that OTB may already have paid to easyJet. As per OTB T&C's if you choose to cancel, you will be subject to the terms of each package element, which for flights non-refundable.
If OTB have paid out the dosh to easyJet, it's likely they will seek to recover that from you.2
