I don't think your being unreasonable at all, maybe my comments seemed a bit harsh
I will say for you at least your not turning a blind eye to your debt and want to sort out things, try speaking to CAB see what they say but don't let Bulb fit a pre payment meter they are costly
Don't mean to upset you. Right now with your payment holiday and energy bills you are building up more debt0 -

Offer to have a prepayment meter in or just use less energy to bring down your costs.
Bulb have offered you a reasonable solution so I would go along with their advice and agree to the new payment plan.
are you both working? You maybe entitled to the warm home discount if Bulb offer itBe happy, it's the greatest wealth1 -

Bulb will not allow you to switch with the amount of debt you have with them
What about switching your credit card for a 0% card some are as long as 28 months
Again speak to CAB0 -

If a supplier has followed the correct procedures and deemed an amount owed as a debt, then they will stop a customer on credit meters from switching suppliers. If a switch is permitted, then the supplier will expect the debt to be paid off in full. Prepayment customers may be able to switch with a debt.0

Bulb are definitely no longer the cheapest but probably a better company than some of the smaller ones to be in debit with.
It Would definitely be work speaking to CAB regarding your finances.More on Tully and bulb is here https://help.bulb.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/360041950432-How-Bulb-works-with-Tully- it doesn’t seem like that bad an idea. It is just assessing whether you can afford the payments or not.
if you don’t feel comfortable with that you can alternatively take out a loan or try a 0% interest credit card, pay what you owe. (Check to make sure you actually owe that amount) and then switch,
obviously you should be aiming to reduce your usage too. Might be difficult with 8 people in the house!0 -
