3littlegems said:niktheguru said:So looking at your figures you've provided for 11 months I've worked out your usage for a year will be approximately
Elec: 5562kwh
Gas: 15816kwh
So annual consumption is
Elec: 5562 x 0.1571 = £873.79
Sc: 0.1934 x 365= £70.59
Gas: 15816 x 0.028 = £442.84
Sc: 0.1947 x 365 = £71.07
So your annual bill is the total of all 4, which is £1458.29, So you should be paying £121.52 a month to cover your usage. If you have to add vat to that its approx £127.60
Hope that helps.
(Note that you haven't given us the date the meter reading was taken in March. I have assumed its beginning of March, but if its end of march your usage will be higher, assuming your readings are 10 months apart would make your annual consumption estimate at 6118kwh elec and 17396kwh gas, giving you a monthly payment if £132.50 - so it looks like bulb have been reasonable with your projections)
The March statement was from the 7th.
So going forward could i use these figures 6118kwh elec and 17396kwh gas to enter into a comparison site?
Bulb are suggesting i pay as a minimum £146.64 or £159.60 based on my consumption, so would that means the kw should be higher ? What kw of usage am i looking at to get the figure of £159.60.
I would avoid symbio and utility point at the moment, because symbio have a habit of over billing which in your situation would be counterintuitive, and people are struggling with getting hold of utility point customer services. Neon reef seem to be decent and are all online, I have put my parents with them and they have been cheap as well as easy to get hold of. Neo is a cheap provider but haven’t heard great things. You will definitely find much cheaper than bulb, they haven’t been cheap for a long time now,
You initially said you had 500 debit with bulb but think you later said it was 350ish, that suggests either your account has slowly been increasing in debit for longer than the year you suspected, or you’ve had higher usage than usual in the last year and your direct debits were lower than they should have been for too long. Either way that’s in the past now.
pop the usage figures (in kWh) in the comparison sites and see what you can save. Good luck.1 -
Op: As above let us know if you are able to make any savings using the 2 sites mentioned as they give ALL suppliers.
Neo might work out cheaper than rest but very difficult to get an actual tariff from them. My opinion. The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon1 -

The debt was £311.50 so not as much as i originally thought. Will be keeping a closer eye on the payments and usage from now on!0 -
