I notice their T&Cs page has mysteriously disappeared...1

Hopefully they are going to make it compliant with the legislation!PragmaticMoneySaver said:I notice their T&Cs page has mysteriously disappeared...1 -
I did point out to them that their terms & conditions contradicted their email as another poster said. What's the bet though that they'll just update it to say unless you take out insurance, you're on to plums. This was the second email I received but I won't be going back to them again.PragmaticMoneySaver said:I notice their T&Cs page has mysteriously disappeared...I am only trying to help by giving people the option to add the insurance as most people don't read the delivery terms etc so wouldn't realise that there is the option to do so. Especially at the moment with so many couriers being sick and off work we are experiencing major delays and problems throughout the delivery networks. If I am honest this is the first time that I have had a response like this as most people are just happy to be covered for their purchase. In this crazy time we are all just trying to do our best.Your refund has been done and you should be able to see it nowThanks0 -
Quite unbelievable, they cannot remove themselves from legislation which protects a buyer just because they want to.sparrow857 said:

If they are having a hard time now, just think how much worse it's going to be once word spreads of their method of business.
Just because other people are happy to pay this (either because they don't realise they don't need to, or have paid it but not actually complained) doesn't mean you should feel guilty for calling them out on it. Hopefully they will rethink!

I’ve received some further info tonight advising that this company have now been receiving really harassing messages since my post.
That is not something I wanted at all, I only wanted to know where I stood with regard to the purchase. I’m not sure how I delete this
post? As think it’s went a bit far now and no matter what, I wouldn’t want to see a business struggle because of me ☹️1 -
Have they actually been harassed or have people sent them messages pointing out that their terms are illegal and unenforceable and that they are responsible for good arriving in a good condition?1

There's no need or excuse for others to be sending them harassing messages but someone who decides to conduct a business should be aware of their obligations, highlighting an issue and asking for advice is what this forum is for and doesn't mean you have caused anyone else hardship.sparrow857 said:I’ve received some further info tonight advising that this company have now been receiving really harassing messages since my post.

Hopefully they will update their terms resulting in their business going further by attracting and retaining customers.

You can't. It'a public forum, people can comment as they wish within the forum rules. You can only edit your own posts.sparrow857 said:I’ve received some further info tonight advising that this company have now been receiving really harassing messages since my post.

You've done this business a service by making them aware of the basic consumer laws regarding the supply of goods. if their courier is really saying that 'all deliveries are now made at the sender's risk', which is nonsensical, then they need to find a new courier. No free lunch, and no free laptop
