VPN recommendations please?

Hi
Forgive me if this has been asked before, but recently I was thinking of purchasing a VPN for a Mac, but when searching there are so many, I saw two that look ok and reviews are pretty decent too, Nordvpn and Surfshark , but which one, has anyone got these or any other recommendations?

Also do you need a Nordvpn allows you to add Nordpass and Nordlocker, are these unnecessary extras?

Why do you want or think you need a VPN?

Although, a VPN on its own is not necessarily going to grant you privacy. For that you need to need to use a range of tools and change your browsing habits - avoiding the fingerprinting that is often able to almost uniquely identify a user is difficult.

    Based in Canada

Although the company claims it keeps no logs, a gag order from any agency or the government will force them to log  your activities and hand them over to the authorities in secret. So before you download Windscribe, keep that in mind.

Thank you, I was more or less thinking about downloading ones to give me a bit of privacy.

I'd avoid any "free" VPN services if you value privacy - they have to make money somehow and usually it's at the expense of the users. I use NordVPN for what it's worth and would recommend them. In any case there's usually good cashback offers on QuidCo and TopCashback for most of the big name VPNs so you might be able to grab a bargain if you're so inclined.

Try using ExpressVPN, Nord, SurfShark or iProVPN. the three are well known VPN and works really great whereas iProVPN is new but it works really well. Avoid using free VPN services as they are not secure and can leak your personal data.

In the past I used Mulvad for a few days. Got really good speed and the best one that I have been with, but at the time they were more pricey. They told me via email a method to pay - Paysafe?? Then 2 days later when I converted my £75 they would no longer accept paysafe method anymore, and I lost £75 :(

I bought a life long (20 year) membership with Windscribe for £42, and they are quite good too, better than PIA.

Whoever you go with, if you can wait, you provider may have an easter deal?
