"2.4 If the Customer changes supplier or becomes off-supply then the Offer will therefore be void."Seems to be a poisoned chalice. If you top up by £5000 in the hope of a £500 bonus, you're probably locking yourself into Green.Energy for the next 10 years !2

Aah, I did wonder about the cash flow side of it. I'm on Somerville fixed until November. I'll use restraint in how much I pay in then, if I can manage to.1

If the top-up only gets used when your bills exceed what they're already taking via direct debit (?), then it could be a long time before the credit is used.Deleted_User said:Green.Energy users check your email for this offer of 10% extra credit for any top up on Monday 25th Jan:0 -
Already thought about this, I'm going to ask them to reduce my direct debit to a minimum amount once my payment has cleared and showing as credit.peadar said:

Good thinking! No obvious reason for them to say no.Deleted_User said:

(Though they could say the DD is set at the 'correct' monthly amount?0 -
I've asked them to reduce it before (I had a large balance) though it took a while - and even then it was only half as apparently "that was the lowest they could do". (75 down to 30).

I topped up yesterday but it hasn't shown in my account balance, has it shown for others yet?

Not shown on mine either but it did take a couple of days when I did it last year. I got an email receipt to confirm payment straight away.Smeagal said:I topped up yesterday but it hasn't shown in my account balance, has it shown for others yet?1 -
Obviously haven't raised enuf yet - they have "extended" the offer til midnight on 27th
EDIT - I'm switching away and as my 14 day cooling off period is ending, I looked at what Green would offer me - the best they could do on a 12 month fix is nearly 7p/kwh MORE than current tariff ! Good bye Green !0
