Have the salary paid into a savings account  which offers ATM card?

Trouble is people look down at such accounts, but you have to take what you can get.
I have a feeling the Co-op do a credit check (of sorts) on any account,

Don't be tempted to 'help' her by letting her wages go through your bank account.

Then stop wasting your time and ours. She cannot get good advice if she will not disclose her situation.
