Now that you are here , study the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum , because there is a hidden keypad defence in there , used in cases like yours , especially in court , so the keeper might win in Court with that argument backed up by a WS by tenpin as well to bolster the case

ParkingEye and trying it on - i,e, they are lying.  They can and do cancel PCNs after POPLA.  Tell the Bowling Alley this, and can they please insist and say how horrified they are that the appeal was refused, and this is not what the parking contract intends.

I sooooo wish you'd done this the right way round.  So much easier to complain to the retailer first.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Understandable, but a learning experience for the future. Avoid PPC controlled private car parks, or if no other alternative, comply absolutely with their terms and conditions. Do you know what, if absolutely everybody did this, the PPCs would go bust. No need for anarchy, or civil disruption, or class action, simply comply totally with their (made up) rules and they have nowhere to go, but go BUST!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
