I realise how ridiculous I have become but as boredom is setting in I have resorted to counting my coin bottle. A mixture of coins from 1ps to 50ps has given me £15.96 to spend or save !!!
Is there any bank that will take it (have accounts at most banks)
Does any body know how to spend it ?
As I said, I know it’s ridiculous but any thoughts on what to do with my new found wealth ( serious or lighthearted welcomed)

Spend it at a supermarket with the self service tills, just tip it in like the banks and it'll pay for shopping. It's also free unlike the coin machinesRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.1

I also do as above and spend it at the self serve checkouts when I go shopping. No-one usually minds unless it is busy and there aren't many checkouts open. It's probably not worth your time and effort to try and get it banked otherwise.3

when people actually used to use cash, I used to come home from shopping or the pub or what ever with pocket fulls of coins. and then when I went out next time, instead of taking some change, I would end up changing another note.
these days, I find it easier to just tap my card on the machine. even in the pub.that is if it ever opens again.0 -
Banks will take them in money bags, but not part full, in normal times. I'm not sure about currently.

Metro bank and some branches of HSBC have coin counting machines that will deposit the money into your account.
