Considering moving to Shell Energy broadband

I temporarily moved to Virgin.
Their customer service really sucks.
I've seen a great 12 month price on broadband.moneysavingexpert.com.
I'm really put off by the reviews.
Anyone here have anything to say?
Thanks.

I had a pretty rubbish experience with them, unreliable connection and a customer service team that didn't know WiFi interference doesn't happen on a wired connection.
If the broadband works then you'd be lucky to not have to contact their customer service, but if you have issues then be prepared for their poor customer service1 -

They charge £15 when you leave them, even out of contract.
As for connection wise, will see 1st Feb onwards. However I was with Plusnet and the Post Office and they had bad reviews on here, yet I had no issues.1 -
Both they and previous owner would be on my blacklist . To many MSE complaints in a short time span .I would rather pay more .But in what way does VM poor CS stop you using their service ??1

Thanks for the replies guys.
I think I'll avoid.
@JJ_Egan CS was poor - but I'd be OK if service was reliable. When I had it last (18 months ago) they were abysmall. Connection would drop 3 or 4 times a day. In 18 months, untold calls to customer service and hours and hours of my life wasted on the phone. Maybe in other areas it's perfectly OK.
I'm thinking BT is best? No other choice actually.

The poor internet is probably a combination of oversubscribed equipment with too many people joining due to the cheap price and I'd imagine talktalk prioritise their direct customer traffic before shell customers. This is probably made worse by more people being at home with all the streaming and video calling.
Then there's the customer service issue, which sounds like shell energy advisors are dealing with broadband queries but have received very basic training.
Then the icing on the cake is the very cheap substandard router they provide, probably the spec that were given free by ISPs 5-10 years ago0 -
I heard of Shell broadband vis the MSE website. Attracted by the cheap price, I have been with them for three weeks. It’s a truly awful broadband service. Connectivity drops entirely at least once a day. When you do get online, webpages are constantly buffering. My mobile cannot connect to the wi-fi at all. Contacting customer service involves a long wait followed by a promise of a callback. I have yet to have a conversation with an adviser. When I emailed them asking to leave I was presented with a bill for a whole year’s service. It looks like my options are pay up and move or remain offline.

From what I've read on here, I'd avoid bigtime.

If you read reviews of most ISPs you will always get mostly negative comments as happy customers dont seem to review as they are happy and feel no need to complain? I am very happy with Shell for most things apart from billing. Having said that i am happy i will be moving again when my contract finishes to another offer.0
