Address not recognised

It is not a new build.  It was built in 1982.  It is not recognised by broadband suppliers.  And having selling stuff from home it is not registered with satnavs either. It is recognised by Southern Water's billing department but not their so-called service department.  I was on the phone to them every day for weeks explaining my address.  A neighbour has complained to the council weeks ago to Southern Water about the water meters, being all broken.  They are non-existent, broken or flooding.  I think they just go to the wrong address by the postcode, which is a taxi office, not a block of flats  probably see nothing and go away.   It is not recognised by most satnavs.  When I try to change services I just get the "computer says no" response - your address does not exist.  It is recognised by the Royal Mail and Google.  It's just that it is not recognised by many utility companies, which means I am unable to get deals.  I am trying to run a business just via a bad mobile link to my laptop because they don't believe my address exists.  Does anyone else have this problem or what is this faulty list I can correct?

The power companies rely on the Royal Mail - have you checked https://www.royalmail.com/find-a-postcode to ensure the address is *exactly* the same?

I'd tell them to search on royal mail then the suppliers can fix their address database
