Alternatives to Morningstar X-ray ....?

    What I have done in the past is to set up a portfolio with everything in it, but that is less useful than the spreadsheet because the latter makes it easy to see how the separate portfolios work together.

    I use a s/sheet for asset allocation analysis.

    Investments in columns across the top and allocation sectors in rows, use fund factsheets to determine the relative wieights for each sector, enter amount invested and let Excel do its stuff.

    I doubt very much that it is 100% accurate as funds can change allocations on a daily basis I guess but it is close enough to give me a view on geographic splits and equity v fixed interest v infrastructure v property etc. etc.
