Is it me or are we seeing more and more who are not only weak minded but appear to have no back down.  People need to grow a pair and stand up for themselves!!
They also need to learn to work stuff out without being spoon fed. Stand up for yourself dont be pushed over and go into a wimper because you have a letter which has big red lettering on it!

There seem to be a lot more coming here who have buried their head in the sand for months or years and then expect a superhero to wave a magic wand and save them from the big bad witch too !!

Also a lot who won't follow instructions or ask why all the time !!

There are also those who think the rules don't apply to them , similar to Chiltern staff

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-55717243

Then they will complain if they get fined or disciplined , wanting others to make it go away !!

Those Senedd Welsh MP s are the same , one rule for them and different rules for everyone else

Also, I think it's party due to previously benign ANPR firms like CP Plus morphing into the monster of 'Group Nexus' and throwing their weight around, deciding to sue people for falling asleep at Motorway services.  And firms like Smart and ECP who never used to sue people are now allowing the robo-claim solicitors to carry them to court because of the money sloshing around in it, because they still add the fake £60 or £70 on top.

So we are seeing a lot more people who think they 'owe' £170 for doing some shopping, five years ago.  And many of them have never had a PCN because the DVLA fails to comply with GDPR law when they update driving licence addresses.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I also blame people watching crap TV programmes about bailiffs, and crap advice from TV, newspapers, and the crap advice that can generally be found on many internet sites, plus of course the ubiquitous barrack room lawyer down the pub.

Then they come here for help and ask, and in some cases expect us to pick up the pieces.

There again, it's only words on a screen. It pales in to inconsequential insignificance compared with what the NHS and many others are going through.

Imagine if people died because they ignored our advice.

You can tell when some posters produce their defence that they don't really understand some of the legal principles and cannot apply them to their particular circumstances. That said neither can the PPC's.

And I would be one of those people, thankfully I haven't had to defend myself against a claim. I am an intelligent chap and part of my job involves aspects of contract law amongst other things and am also considered good at what I do by my peers but if I ever had to put together a court defence for a parking violation I would be completely flummoxed. I linger here as I do find some of the threads interesting.
