Why would the school help someone with a benefit claim like this? You get told a lot of things but you have no idea how true all of this is. I don't know how your son claims to know exactly what they are claiming.

He goes to a pru and the social worker told me the school was going to help with the claim. I thought it was because her benefit claim might have hit the benefit cap with him living there and the mother wanted someone else to ring and tell them so it was different claim. Then he said she didnt need to claim for him and know I have been told he put a claim in and the had a appointment phone call and they said he couldn't have it while he's living there.
I don't really know other then him telling me stuff.

As with your previous thread you don’t know the facts so we cannot advise you what your son is entitled to. We have advised that if he is considered to be without parental support then a claim for UC may be successful. More than that we cannot tell you.
