I have used 7.5kwh per day average since I moved in almost 2 months ago, is that good/bad/normal?

I see from another thread that you have a super insulated flat.
No. I have moved since then. This one may be 'super' I dunno, it is a new build and seems good so far; certainly feels it, but I was talking about the last place in previous thread.

Anyway the previous one wasn't super insulated, it was actually an appalling build made with the cheapest materials, it is just that the sun shone in on it.

Having previously lived in an all electric home,4.7kWh sounds fairly good to me in fairness.
It's not likely you'll use that amount outwith the winter period either.
Just curious is your hour or twos heating time enough to keep you at a comfortable temperature all day?.

Indeed. I am not going going cold that is for sure and I am working from home every day and always inside.

    That's good to hear.
My electric consumption is similar to yours at 6.5 units per day although in a two bed,two storey mid terrace in south west Scotland.

    I'm amazed by your figures.
You don't say how large the property is or how many people, but we have gas heating and hot water and still an average 10kWh per day electric.

Yes same here - 3 beds, 2 adults, gas CH/HW via condenser boiler, electic cooker and hob.  I run a de-humidifier for maybe 1-2 hours max in winter,  a condensing tumble drier maybe 3 times per week (during winter months again) and all lighting via LED bulbs.  I also have an electric shower.  Over the last year I too averaged about 10 kWh electricity per day.  During the summer it can get as low as 7.5 kWh/day but can get as high as 11.4 kWh/day in winter.

    Yes, I am too.
I’m averaging 30kWh’s a day at the moment. All electric 3 bed property.

Thanks for sharing your figures too, those of you above. Hmm well then I should feel happier :). Before I only had my previous place to compare it to and since it was 3x as much I thought it might be bad - but knowing that I was now using elec for the heating I knoew it would be somewhat more.

Good to know my numbers are still relatively low as compared to others' figures.

And to note, I am a single person in a 1 bedroom flat.

Of course. :) Eating at regular human intervals (probably more than regular as I reheat on the hob 5-6 times a day as I don't use mircrowave) and showering every other day average; shower taking 20 - 30 min.

The flat uses elec for heating and I would say I have had it on an hour or two per day at most; usually in the morning and evening time.
Not sure how that can be sufficient if there all day.

Some people are made of sterner (or meaner?) stuff. I rarely have the heating on in my house, I only have the hot water on because the gym is closed.
