I have used 7.5kwh per day average since I moved in almost 2 months ago, is that good/bad/normal?

The flat uses elec for heating and I would say I have had it on an hour or two per day at most; usually in the morning and evening time.
For comparison, I did the sums for my last place (which used gas) and I only averaged 2.8 kwh per day.
So in terms of the difference (4.7kwh), is that normal for my heat consumption?

Was your gas average over the whole year or winter too?About 1000 kWh gas a year at your previous place would be extremely low - was that definitely the right units? But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

So all electric, not E7, therefore presumably the heating is peak rate panel heaters or similar? Seems pretty good, low.1

All electric at 7.5kWh/day ? That's less than the electric use in a gas heated property. Are you sure you're using Actual reading ? Or is that just the heating - what about everything else ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Here are the readings/calcs:
(moved in) 25/11/20 11976
(last read) 11/01/21 12332
356 units used
divided by 47 days = 7.5 per daytheoretica said:Was your gas average over the whole year or winter too?About 1000 kWh gas a year at your previous place would be extremely low - was that definitely the right units?
As for the gas reading in old place it is not pertinent to add it because I didn't use the heating once, yes you heard that right! and yes it was for the full year! why? because the placing of the property was directly south and with nothing obstructing it the sun would beam in from sunrise to sunset so effectively heated it without needing anything else. To give you an idea, when I moved in, the minute I walked in I thought the heating was on and looked at the thermometer which read in the 20s! and it never really went below 15c and sure enough the heating was off. So ye, the gas was only used for showers/water.
My new place is the opposite in that it gets no direct sun and is north facing at the back of a large block.

You don't have District Heating supplying your hot water and heating by any chance?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

- Do you have an Economy 7 or similar multi-rate meter? If so, you may have overlooked one register.
- Please show full details of your sums for the gas consumption at your last place.

I see from another thread that you have a super insulated flat.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Having previously lived in an all electric home,4.7kWh sounds fairly good to me in fairness.
It's not likely you'll use that amount outwith the winter period either.
Just curious is your hour or twos heating time enough to keep you at a comfortable temperature all day?.
