  • Well the last word from me. I contacted them again by e mail yesterday and put my case to them .
They have come back today and extended my frequent traveller wallet for another year till june 2022.
So thank you Eurotunnel , im grateful to you for doing this.  My advise to anyone in my position  , and there are many im sure is to contact them ,state your case and if at 1st you dont succeed then try and try again. Im sure if you say nothing you will probably lose your trips on  expiry of your contract.

  • That is excellent and really generous of them under the circumstances.

And of you had waited until June you would probably have had the same result.

    Hi
Years ago, I used to buy these annual tickets - good value - anyway one year, I hadn't managed to use all the tickets, due to wife illness - emailed Eurotunnel, they stated as long as I bought another annual ticket, they would allow me to carry over the remaining balance to the following year - which I did - well done Eurotunnel - went beyond their t&cs.

If there has been NO chance of using the 10 trips in the year June 20 to June 21 then you may have a case for a refund

However, if there has been opportunity but it wasn't convenient/necessary for you to travel at that time then you may struggle

The service was available - you just didn't choose to utilise it

Sounds like you got a good result
  • Eurotunnel are automatically extending all frequent traveller wallets expiring before 31 August 2021 to 31 December 2021.

I wish they would do this for their other bookings?  We booked in mid July for end of August(cost about £300!).  Moved it to May half term 2021 as not much other choice and now we've given up on that as well.

Have you asked them about moving it ?
  • Tedber do you work for Eurotunnel if. so maybe you can help!
Legally they have sold a ticket that one is unable to use and nothing is stated in T & C about the use of the trips when the use of the ticket has been legally suspended.
It appears to be and I am very happy for mirrorcarp 2 that his ticket has been extended. They now appear to have a cut off date that a FT ticket should have been bought by Aug. 31st 2020 and then they will extend these tickets to Dec 31st 2021. I bought my ticket 3 days later than Aug 31st and have been told I will get no extension. This cannot be legally correct although we still cannot travel to France and use the ticket obviously even if the ticket has been extended, although this is a step in the right direction. But why are all FT ticket holders not being offered the same conditions.
Eurotunnel are making this so difficult for everyone and are not giving themselves a good name.
Airlines have been very open and want customers to travel with them after lockdown and have extended paid for tickets by a year. But not Eurotunnel.Why.
If anyone has had success with Eurotunnel and Frequent Traveller tickets with writing to Customer services  and are in the same position as me, buying a  F T ticket after Aug. 31st then please let us know. As Ive only had negativity on writing to Customer Services and that they will not extend the ticket. So Ive paid for something that legally I cannot use. Can Martin Lewis look into this ?
