Paying via Klarna before goods reach me

Ah yeah, fair enough...I suppose we’re all now so used to seeing buy now, pay after delivery, that this other option seems somehow ‘odd’!

Regulated as in you have FCA protection. Klarna are simply a co who have agreed with the retailer to pay them for your purchase (no doubt with a big discount) while you pay them over 3 months.
At one point Klarna were not even interested in helping people that had not got the goods from retailers.

To be fair, Klarna themselves have been very helpful on this occasion!

That’s not the way klarna normally works. I have a peloton on order, paid Via kaths and it won’t be billed until it arrives.

I had the same when I purchased a shed with Klarna. No payments where taken until a week or so after the delivery date and it was a long lead time.

Maybe the company you've purchased from have put a different delivery date or something that's brought payments forward. 

[Edit] Just to add. They did start sending statements and monthly payment requests straight away but the balance and monthly payment amounts was always 0.00 till the month after delivery.
