Thanks for your comments anyway.Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0 -
So from your response you should have office installed on your pc.-really going back to the early post made by Grumpy but flyer, you were not very explicit about where and how you came up with "it's not there"....Is it still there? If you go to start programs is it in the drop down list? Can you open any/all the progs (word excel etc.)If not is it still listed if you go to control panel install/delete apps and is so have you tried to repair fron there?Or if not do you still have the install media (cds) or a backup of it and try and in repair from there.??? Have I missed something why is 365 mentioned when flyer has bought Office? Might be being a bit slow on the uptake on this thread....
and why is that browser error message coming up. That surely should not happen when trying to just open a program?

Don't know if this helps, but here goes.I have 3 versions of Office on my computer and TBH have never fully understood the structure in terms of program file locations for this Microsoft Software.I have the Office 365 logo appearing in my startup list. This is the "app" which I have never installed and is there merely I guess to enable me to purchase and install Office 365 if I choose to do so.I purchased Microsoft Office 2010 many years ago and the suite of programs are located at C/Program Data/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Microsoft Office. Drilling down through that route takes you to a series of shortcuts for Word/Excel etc. For some reason the shortcut properties does not allow you to ascertain the location of the respective .EXE filesI also purchased Microsoft Office 2016 more recently and these programs are located at C/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Office/root/Office16/EXCEL.EXE etc.Maybe by following this kind of search on your C drive, you might locate where the EXE files are.Just a thought and maybe you have already done this.1 -
As well as a restore as an idea...Do you have a backup?Do you have the install media?Do you have the keys?Have you done a drive searcg for one or more of the exe files such as excel.exeIf non of these how did you aquire the software?1
