Hence why I recommended switching earlier.
Its easy to switch these days, and Plusnet are so helpful over the phone to sort stuff out if needed.

via the ethernet connection to your router, install a mesh system, but only if your virgin bandwith can take the traffic and you have a stable line0

Rather jumping ahead here and assuming too much without the evidence of what is wrong? -though you could all be right!Still think the diagnostics should be done as it might just be a simple issue to resolve but until we know what the cause is......0

Bits of the log give real speed info between you and virgin! Is your router/hub one of those shown on debit's link above?0

FTR, Virgin Customer here.Very seldomly get a speed test at less than advertised bandwidth (200Mb/s) from an ethernet connected machine. And that is with a Superhub 2AC in modem only mode.WiFi is 20-30 Mb/s at best. And that is largely due to all of the contention on 2.4GHz. And that is with WiFi clients shared across 2 different access points running on two different channels. The access points are not 5GHz capable - they may get upgraded later this year.
Anything that benefits from being on a better internet connection is plugged in.A dream is not reality, but who's to say which is which?0 -
NOTE that wifi is always awful, depending on where you are, and ALSo on who is moving around.. If you have an android phone, look for the app 'wifi analyzer by farproc' - it will show all the signals, and will show them going up and down!!you will most likely see your wifi name in the middle of a crowd of other people, explaining why it is so bad.. have you tried ordering a pint in a very noisy pub?? I once had to write a text message to get my order!! :O :Pso find out how to change your wifi channel..
or just put down some cable...

If you are desperate for wifi and can afford about £300 for a wifi router, it will STILL have problems!!yes, Hub3 does have 5gHz, but the 'auto channel' is not very clever.. switch it OFF and change the channel to something less crowded..on android, the app 'wifi analyzer by farproc' will show you..
