My street is full of houses all built at the same time to the same spec, so I can absolutely understand someone viewing number 6 at some point then subsequently putting an offer in on number 15 without viewing. There's also plenty more of them dotted around the country! Aside from decor and any additions (all of which you can see from a photo) they're basically the same house. I know surveys will bring up stuff, but at offer stage I'd definitely take a punt 'blind' if I'd already viewed the same build.

I get that it's frustrating, but you'll get there.

Where I live there is one particular housing estate that is deemed the "most desirable" in the area.  All the houses virtually identical and all in good order / cared for.  When the property was in high demand (not today), the properties sold like hot cakes.

This happened to my brother, who wanted one of those homes and he'd book viewings but they'd all sell before the viewing happened.  In the end, my brother joined the "offer without viewing" club as the house he ended up buying came on the market mid-week, the Agent called and he made an offer, then that reserved the property so that he could actually get to the viewing. Obviously, given the state of the market he was not going to pull out, so the viewing was just a formality really.
