Terrible Shell Energy Broadband customer service - Much better at Vodafone!

The broadband 'service' I have received with Shell has been good. Unfortunately, the policies Shell Energy Broadband make their customer service teams enact are terrible. They have recently increased their charges mid-contract and enacted a strict policy of leaving within 30 days of this emailed notice or they charge for the rest of the contract (for me, another 6 months) and an exit fee too!
I rang them and they refused to offer me anything better to stay with them, even though they offer new customers good deals (such as
63Mb at £25.99 for 12 Months - a bill credit for £77.97 = £19.49 per month)
I looked for a new supplier and found a great deal on MSE and changed my Broadband supplier to Vodafone:
63Mb at £23 for 24 Months - a discount voucher for £50 = £20.92 per month
Because I only learnt Shell Energy was so awful and difficult with their intransient contract fees and termination charge (on a contract they reneged on) I rang Vodafone to say I would have to stick with my original supplier (Shell) due to their extortionate fees for leaving the 'CONtract' early. However, Vodafone said they VALUED CUSTOMER RETENTION and gave me £50 towards Shell Energy's exit fees! So I have chosen to say with Vodafone and I will never deal with Shell Energy again or go to their Fuel stations.
Due to Vodafone's offer, this effectively makes the Vodafone deal
63Mb at £23 for 24 Months - a discount voucher for £50 - the £50 bill credit = £18.83 per month
Shell has a terrible Customer Service Rating of 4.9/10 and are NOT part of the Ofcom automatic compensation scheme.

Shell Broadband are !!!!!!, slow and intermittent broadband, rubbish customer service and love billing you for anything they think they'll get away with. They argued until the end there was nothing wrong despite proving with a samknows box there were problems, which coincidentally stopped when I switched supplier on a similar package and using the same third party router I've not had single issue, very tidy coincidence1
