AOD yes she has a steroid injection. During the first lockdown, when they were far stricter with appointments, they left steroid tablets out, which DS picked up, and they didn't work as well. Vet said a few people reported that.
The only progress I have made since my first post has been emptying the dw! Other than that I am on snow watch. It's still coming down heavily and getting deeper and deeper by the minute. I am thinking my deliveries may be postponed. Oh well nothing I am desperate for!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning all; dull and drizzly outside but we seem to have missed the snow.
Yesterday got off to a good start as DD's fiancé messaged to see if we needed any shopping from Costco. I only gave him a short list but it was lovely to have it delivered. I cut the tea loaf in half and sent some back with him as a thank you.
In the meantime I thoroughly cleaned out the cupboard under the sink - even got DH to take the bin off the inside of the door so I could get to things. I don't remember ever doing that before! Flopped a bit after lunch but recovered to play music for a Zoom practice late afternoon and then had some chilli from the freezer for dinner.
Today I need some basic supermarket shopping so that will be my trip out for the week. Am getting a bit low on knitting wool but don't want to go out especially to buy more so might have to pace myself. Our GP surgery is starting vaccinating the over 80s this weekend so that's promising.
Hope all goes well for everyone today.12 -
Morning all,It's been pouring down for about 2 days and has now turned to snow. Needless to say the park is flooded and the brook below us at the front has turned into a raging torrent.I need to catch up with your news after, haven't been on for a couple of days. My sm delivery, and also my veg box from the market is due in half an hour.Yesterday DS2 dropped DGD off while they were checking one of their jobs, so I could 'help' with her school work, Maths, RE and English. The RE was good fun as she had to do a picture & I did one as well with my watercolours, which I keep intending to do more with & never get round to. I made lasagne as it's one of her favouritesNmlc, hope they have a job for you xRight better go, also need to ring my DB1 as he,SIL & niece are Cov positive, Sis in law was in bed feeling poorly when I spoke onTues. but he felt ok ish.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all
Up late again as I had a bad night, I heard dd moving about in the early hours as well so she has also had a bad night, she is just surfacing now, none of us are sleeping atm as there is just too much going on.
Went and collected my tablets yesterday and popped into Mr S for a few bits, I got my brother some joggers to relax in at home and some pyjamas for when he needs to go to hospital, they were both half price so a good bargain, OH gave brother a lift over to see his kids yesterday and he stayed the night I am hoping he has told them the news as they need to know. My sister, DD and I have all chipped in and bought each of the boys a watch we are getting them engraved and will pass them onto brother to give to them, its something they can keep and remember him with.
No snow here just relentless rain, it will be a quick dog walk later I think, the dw needs emptying and a wash putting on and that will be my day I think.
Bacon egg and chips for dinner so nice and easy.
NMLC I hope everything works out for your job xx
Marie sending hugs xx
Have good days all xx14 -

Morning everyone
I'm sitting here with my hair dye on as I was looking quite silver!
DD is back in hospital as she was unwell again last night. Little one was dropped off with me about 10.30 last night - she went straight back to sleep bless her. I took her to nursery this morning and will pick her up again at 3. It was pouring so I got soaked so I changed back into pyjama bottoms when I got home. I called in at M and S for milk and bananas on my way home and they had quite a lot of reduced items, so got some for me and some for mam, which I then dropped off.
It was very early for them to have reduced stuff - I think they must be quieter. I got a pack of 4 chocolate eclairs for 53p so left 2 for my dad - he loves a cream cake!
Right , I'd better rinse - hope everyone has a good day13 -

Hello everyone.
Yesterday OH Ddog and I went for a lovely, slightly muddy walk. Along the street which borders the river, 3 weirs to look at, lots of timber and trees washed downstream by the heavy rain, over the bridge and through the woods to the green which stands at a higher level, looking back down to the river again and over to the castle and town, a muddy and slippery path back to river level, over the other bridge to joyfully find that the restaurant on the riverside green was serving take away coffee and eats. The coffee was so lovely I ordered some ready ground to collect tomorrow, bonus is that it is roasted, ground and packed by an independent trader less than 10 miles away, a HM biscuit may have been consumed too. Distance 2.5 miles over some tricky terrain, my longest walk for quite a while, really pleased.
Supper was tuna steaks with red and yellow peppers, green beans and potato/sweet potato mash.
Wrapped up well and had a spell in the garden this morning topping up bird feeders, raking leaves etc, very chilly now that the wind is moving to the North.
Thanks to nmlc for the new thread, I do hope that you are able to get a new position. Hugs and spoons to all lovely people who are going through so many difficulties presently.
The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)11
