3 PAYG rate increase
Just had a text on my 3 PAYG mobile telling me rates are going up from 3p per minute to 10p as from 16th Feb 2021 !!!! That's over a 200% increase !!
Hmm, I think when my balance is near to zero I'll look at moving.
I see 1p Mobile charge 1p per minute, (as the name suggests), and uses the EE network. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences of this provider ??

1p mobile is no good if you are a very low user as you have to top up £10 every 4 months to keep the sim active.I currently spend about £1 a year on my 3 PAYG mobile.0

Similar situation for me, but I also have legacy Classic O2 PAYG still on 3-2-1 but NOT available to new customers nor available to move back to if you get a Big Bundle (or whatever they're called now.)SpanishBlue said:1p mobile is no good if you are a very low user as you have to top up £10 every 4 months to keep the sim active.I currently spend about £1 a year on my 3 PAYG mobile.
Not good news for low users.

There's another thread on this https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6231243/three-321-sim-charges-increase-200-to-500-from-16-feb-2021#latest but as it has a silly title it didn't come up on a DuckDuckGo search as did this thread !

Am i right in thinking that those of us on classic payg from o2 can keep topping up and retain the 321 rates for now?Phones4Chris said:

AFAIK BUT as I've just discovered Vodafone PAYG1 is changing from 12th Jan. I'm off to see if there's any info on O2. Seems like PAYG low users are about to get screwed. If you live in a rural area, not all networks are receivable and OFCON's agreement with MNOs for network sharing isn't likely to happen that quicklygwapenut said:

I was on a 02 legacy tariff, text and web,i was on it for years untill classic came along, and i never had any text to say the rates were changing. So i think we are safe on the classic tariff,as they never tried to move me off it0

Link to that please? I've had no communication from O2 to say it's changing.jsmith9 said:"Am i right in thinking that those of us on classic payg from o2 can keep topping up and retain the 321 rates for now?"
