    Thank you. I had a map (only tells you where it comes in the road) but as I'm a corner plot and it runs up the hill, the pipe was higher up then where it started. I just think sending 3 men to fix it was excessive. 
    One to dig the hole, one to repair the pipe, one to make the tea ;)

    Cheap then as number four would be the supervisor .Number five the one who leaned on the shovel all day .

    Workmen had been digging a trench along my road to install a new storm drainage system. Despite me warning them of a gas pipe, they still managed to cut through it - Wasn't the first pipe they had cut through either.... Had (from memory) six guys from the Gas Co turn up over the space of four hours to fix the pipe. A fee of £1300 was being bandied about, so £600 is cheap.
    Think how much it would have cost had there been a gas explosion.
