I switched to Zog from YE a couple of months ago. The switch went OK but the Zog accounts seem to have "frozen". They taken several payments but the only statement I have is a debit for the first period of use, no credits.

Can any experienced Zog customers tell me if this is the norm? Or am I just a victim of Covid/Christmas etc? After the excellent YE accounting system this feels primitive. Also I haven't seen a site load so slowly since the days of dial-up!

Loads absolutely fine   - my only irritation is that although I get monthly statements there is no archive online

Customer Service is Ok - I gave an obviously wrong reading and they cam back to me an questioned it.

Is it marked as a Beta site, for you? Is there an Alpha one that works properly?

Zog are usually very quick to respond to an email query. We have been with them for over 3 years now and always find them very helpful. Recently, we asked for a refund of excess credit as our gas consumption has reduced significantly after getting a heat pump installed. It was back in our account within a few days and they reduced our ongoing Direct Debit.

I'll drop them an email. Sounds like their accounting algorithm's got stuck. Thanks.

When did you actually switch and what date are the bills you have ?
Zog bill on a last day of the month meter reading and bills are received by e-mail around 12th of each month.

It looks like they are trialling a new more functional site.
I wish they would get on with this bit they mention
Zog has also gained a licence to sell Electricity which they plan to launch in 2020.

The beta site is a different address. I can see it will be more like YT, GNE etc when it is finished.

Zog is probably one of the better non top six suppliers, but yes enter some readings on the last day of the month (or they'll estimate them) and you get a statement 10-14 days later.  I'm sure it used to be the 8th but it seems to have drifted further into the month - not that it really matters.

Last time I left them for another provider I had outstanding credit back quite quickly.  I was quite impressed.  Compared to the shambles that is Outfox, Zog are a breath of fresh air.

Oh and Zog have had an electricity licence since 2017.  But nice to hear they may finally be able to provide it soon.

I did my last meter reading at the end of December but I guess it may be nearer the 14th before statements are available, what with bank holidays intervening. I'll give until the end of the week before I bother them. The foregoing comments give me confidence that things are probably going OK.
