BA reward flights

I have flights booked for end of February to the canaries. I’m assuming they are going to be cancelled, and tbh, I want them to be as I don’t want to travel. Has anyone had any reward flights cancelled for February to Tenerife. Thanks

If BA cancel the flight then you will have the option of BA credit, or a refund. Any refund will be via the original payment method. For reward flights this will be a credit of Avios back to your account, and a refund of any cash paid.
Reward flight bookings are usually flexible, so you can choose to cancel if BA don't cancel the flight. This will be subject to an admin fee, which I think is £35 per passenger.1 -
I can only comment on last year, but my reward flight for the 18th April was cancelled on the 24th March, so you might not hear anything for a few weeks yet.1

If one of the flight isn't cancelled, you have 2 options.
You can cancel the flights your self and get back all the Avios and taxes and charges less £35 per person admin charge
Or you can take a future travel voucher for all the avios and money you've spent, to be used on flights by April 2022.
The latter saves you £35 each, but obviously leaves your money tied up.
If one of the flights are cancelled, you get everything back with no admin charge.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. My flight was cancelled yesterday. The efund is being processed. Just hope the Airbnb refund us the 50% we’re already paid.0
