Has anyone got a better deal from Virgin Media *without* signing up to a new 18 month contract?

Hi,
We're with Virgin Media and actually very happy with the service, however I would like to move to a package with a better upload speed without paying a fortune.
They seem to give good deals IF you sign up to a new 18 month contract, but I don't want to do that as we might want to move house, and the house we move to may not have Virgin...
We're currently out of contract, paying about £55/month for 100 meg internet, medium TV I think and a landline (useful for the house alarm).
Thanks,
- Rob

Nope, everytime you renew it they'll put you in a new contract. You're actually paying a huge amount for being out of contract so I'd negotiate a new deal with them or look for similar packages.
I done it in December, was out of contract for 2 month paying £49 and dropped it to £29 with a new 18 mo th contract. If you are looking for somewhere in the future just check the post code of areas you'll be looking at to see if they have access to VM0 -
£55 pm and only need 30 days to cancel Versus whatever today's deals are and a 18 month lock in .Your problem is the two we mights in the future .0

There was a very good VM deal offered via MSE last June? that was only 12 months contract. No idea if that will be repeated.0

Where is the link for live chat by the way?
The offer on the phone felt farcically bad, when I look at what they are offering M350 at for new customers, so would rather speak to someone else, otherwise will need to go ahead with cancellation in a few days0 -

I rang the call centre last renewal and nice (but clearly reading off the script) call handler was assuring me the renewal offer was the very very best etc. I asked be put through to retentions and the renewal price was much more realistic.0 -
Can I ask what you got for your £29 please?Smithy5000 said:Nope, everytime you renew it they'll put you in a new contract. You're actually paying a huge amount for being out of contract so I'd negotiate a new deal with them or look for similar packages.
