2021 Predictions

I can't remember making any predictions for 2020. When it comes to 2021, last years performance will be no guide for this year.Post election debates would have been high up the list in January 2020, I can certainly remember being convinced the tory government would be anti austerity in character. When the rises in minimum wage were announced and Austrian school Javid resigned it looked
like my suspicions were well founded. With Brexit being drawn out I also felt sure that Irish unification would climb up the agenda. Then the face masks came out.
As to going forward in 2021.Normal face coverings will be resumed as soon as possible and those who still have a job should be ok. Those who find themselves out of employment will hear whispers getting louder in support of Universal Income. It's on its way, get used to the idea.
Financial and economic 'boosterisms' will boom the economy as the bonfire of the face masks picks up speed. Price rises will spread from the bourses to the shopping baskets and we all know how that will end; the when will be whenever.
As to my thoughts on gold.....probably big swings on a trend downwards for now, but don't quote me. Best of fortune with 2021..._1 -

"Shares are currently overpriced"
Is that a blanket observation. Banana Republic? Otherwise which shares are overpriced? Because we can make money when an individual share falls.

Sloppy wording on my part, I should have said that many US stocks are overvalued, some such as Tesla ridiculously so. And of course Bitcoin has entered ‘you must be joking’ territory. I am though concerned that the covid crash has been just a small blip on the longest running bull market in history, and it leaves me wondering what is lurking around the corner. Hi ho, make hay while the sun shines.ZingPowZing said:"Shares are currently overpriced"

So your advice is sell Tesla @ $880.BananaRepublic said:

Is Tesla still overvalued at $440, or would that be your re-entry point Banana Republic?0 -

It's not "baiting." You must have meant what you posted, BananaRepublic.BananaRepublic said:

As Tesla @ $880 is ridiculously overvalued in your opinion, what would be a value price?0 -

Well, the First Amendment of the social media playground is your right to ignore anything that doesn't conform to your pre-conceived idea...but I'm not sure it helps your argument.1

You're talking about a second change, not a whole dayUsername999 said:DireEmblem said:I predict we will see 365 days in 2021.
Already your prediction is wrong...

If we want to be proper about it, every 4 years, we have an extra day to correct things, so a solar year is not quite 365 days to start with.1
