EE Shop vs Online

Options
Just before Christmas I visited an EE shop to discuss an upgrade. He told me I was Sim Only with no contract.  So this month with the shops not open I called EE to tell them I would like to leave and go to Sky where my husband's mobile contract is. They now inform me that I am  in a Sim only contract for another 11 months. My husband meanwhile going on the previous information has ordered me a new phone and Sim contract with Sky. EE are refusing to let me go as there's no proof of the information given to me in the shop. What can I do? It's going to cost about £60 a month otherwise until the EE contract has finished. Is there anyone I can complain to?

Sorry but you're not making much sense.

A SIM only contract costing £60/mth..?

Did you sign up for a 12-month EE contract in store last month..?

You need to be clear on what you have exactly, your account on the EE website or app should tell you.

Text ‘INFO’ to 85075 – and find out more

If someone is not sure whether they are still ‘in contract’, and would have to pay any early termination charges, they can simply text ‘INFO’ to 85075 to find this out without requesting a switching code.

( Give that a try above and find out if you are still in contact and if so how much to leave.)

Do you still have the paperwork that you signed in the shop? Does the paper work match your story?
  • If you find out you are in contract with EE for another 11 months (which you must know) just cancel the new sky contract you will have a 14 day cooling off period.
