Oh gosh it does sound like everyone is having a rough time of it, virtual hugs to those who need it with everything going on. At least we can express ourselves on here and get some type of support, just knowing someone else in the world is wishing you well.
Thank goodness its Friday - this week is feeling tough with back to work - albeit from home and I dont have the school run to do so it should be easier, I just enjoyed the time off over Xmas and new year to potter and not have a stopwatch held to me.
My father in law has his first cover jab today - yippee, he has a CT scan and they are doing it at his hospital visit. MIL is a bit peeved she can't get hers too but she is in the 75-80 group) so we are just waiting on them getting vaccinated and shielding them (they are an hours drive away)
My sodding waitrose order keeps updating and taking items off - seriously do not know what I am going to get next week so going to try and pick a quiet time to go shopping and get it myself and then cancel, the order, its still too icy at the mo though.
Have a few work calls this morning and then I can get on with some work in my own time. I have some old spuds to sort through and peel and use up old veg to make soup!! and it will be risotto (butternut squash) for dinner so a veggie day.
Our labrador woke me up at 3 am wanting either a wee or to come into our bed (probably both!) - it was her first night back in her own bed since we had our house remodelled and she has been using her bed with me in the office but decided she didn't want to at 3am - I was too tired to argue so to our bed she came!! I was wide awake from 3-4am with DH snoring so feel jaded but hey its friday so can chill hopefully tonight!!

Oh, I want to give you all the biggest hug ever.
Especially Ruby. You must wonder what bad news will be next. You know that they say when you hit rock bottom the only way is up? What they don't say is that you have to spend quite some time sitting on the rock bottom before you can start the slow and tedious climb up to the surface again. All my thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family.
All the rest of you who are poorly or worried, my love goes to you too. Was there ever such a tough time to be living through? OK, we are not having bombs dropped on us and where even a cup of tea is a treasured treat, (and yes, I do remember that time) but even then we were able to gather strength from the support of our friends and neighbours.
Back to the humdrum. I did a few little niggling jobs yesterday that Mrs Procrastinator has been putting off for far too long. Today I may move a few things from here to there. I think this is called tidying. If I have energy left and the spirit moves, I may even wave the duster on a stick around. Or I may not. We will see. Can't rush these things.
I have noticed a sad parsnip and a stick of celery that looks as if it is on its last legs in the bottom of the fridge. With a few other odds and ends this will make a good soup for lunch. Not sure what else I will be eating, we will have to see what appeals.
Keep warm people.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Have trouble remembering how to fly.14 -
Hello all, we may be due snow, or not, it's not set in stone. This morning I have stripped the bed and the bedding is in the wm. Later I shall clean the bedroom and bathroom then re-make the bed. I don't really feel like doing anything but I must get of my backside at some point this week! This cold, grey weather is getting me down, a bit of sun wouldn't go amiss. My meds were delivered this morning but not Mr Fix It's as predicted, so it'll hopefully be on Monday now. I do hope that's the case as he will run out of his oncology meds on Wed and we don't like cutting it fine. The crumble turned out lovely, I'd never had tinned mango before but now it's on my radar. It was a sub from a delivery and I will order more, yum ! Don't know about tea today, I don't fancy anything so perhaps something as easy as egg and chips.Look at me waffling when so many on here are having a dreadful time, my apologies to you.RedRuby oh my lovely. I wish I could wrap you and your family in a warm comfort blanket, your hearts must be breaking. Sending as much love and as many hugs as you need. Hope you can get your dressing sorted out asap.Bella hugs to you and yours too.MeanMarie how are you today ? Hope you've been able to speak to someone. Hugs for you too.TA I hope the side effects for DD subside soon. Enjoy the Friday TidyTru I'm sorry that your DD has lost her job. Hopefully she can have some redundancy to tide her over.Take care all, stay safe and keep well, especially if you have to go out to work or shopping etc.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently14

Morning everyone
Sending my love to everyone who needs it
I still have little one with me while DD recovers, she's no bother and didn't wake till after 8 this morning - but she's so loud! She's sleeping just now so I'm getting some jobs done, then we'll get out for a walk later. Quite damp and dull here, but no snow.
I've written dates in my diary and on my new calendar this morning - I usually have it done on New Year's Day!
I'm reading an interesting book 'Cilkas Journey' - not really the best to read in bed as I couldn't get to sleep for thinking about Russian labour camps
Well, hope everyone has a good day11 -
Goodness dp1, I've only 2 things in my calendar, one is routine dental check up in June and the other is an online learning 'event' later this month. And I can't see that changing anytime soon.
I've put away laundry and done some more. That's it, I can't face the Friday Tidy so I'm going to knit a purple onesie for a bear. Finished making the bear yesterday. Finished a lot of baby things for friends in the last few weeks, one friend's daughter's baby is imminent and she would like more so friend has done a wool order and that should arrive next week. Another friend who now lives far away inherited her mum's alpacas when she died, they have been rehomed but she got a large amount of alpaca wool and that's been spun for me to knit something for her but not until she decides what she wants. I made her mum a jacket from a previous shearing but that was not well spun, I ended up with a mass of straw for the compost.
Enough wittering from me.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back12 -

Hi everyone
I'm so sorry that so many people are suffering at this time, my thoughts are with all of you.
A quiet one here (hopefully!), I'm finishing off my working week at home and am looking forward to a little rest - well as much of a rest as you get when you need to keep on top of the house and leave most of the chores to the weekend! Still I have changed one of the beds and got that washed in between working this morning.
I got really cold earlier so put the heating on but it has left me with an awful headache - does anyone else experience headaches when they get cold?
That's it from me really - roll on 4pm when I finish work and can have nice bath and read my book.
Hugs to everyone

Very late today, felt a little yuk this morning, but frost had lifted before first light, not slippery eventually made my way into town, market shop done, actually chatted to 2 different friends, outdoor, masks, suitable distance, cheered me up no end.
Had letter from Immunologist today setting out what they know about vaccines with regard to those of us with my condition (rare immune deficiency), basically as we don't make antibodies may not get much benefit from it, possible a little via other parts of the immune system, but we should take whichever vaccine is offered to us.
Sending hugs to all those who are going through the mill at the moment in one way or another. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)10 -
AOD - by dates on my calendar I just meant birthdays - no exciting trips out.
I flipped through my old 2020 calendar - most things that were written on it had been crossed out as they didn't happen. 'Go to Sweden 'was on 3 times - I never got to visit DD yet!10
