Hi, we live in a flat and were wondering if anybody could recommend a safe portable gas heater that could be used in a small, unventilated area?
Many thanks for any help.

Don't use a gas heater in an unventilated area1

Would not use in a small unventilated area if the fumes do not kill you the condensation/damp will.
If you really have no heating there then perhaps oil filled radiater? The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon1 -
As said, they are no good for an unventilated area, you'll end up with carbon monoxide poisoning and loads of condensation and mould. They need lots of ventilation and aren't much cheaper to run than an oil-filled radiator.
You'll also have the problem/inconvenience or lugging a gas cylinder about and smallish ones are very expensive to refill and big ones, although a bit cheaper to refill are heavy and cumbersome when full.
My advice is to avoid them

In your November thread you wrote "We need to have our boiler serviced and also need safety checks on our gas cooker and heater."
Assuming that your gas boiler is working safely why don't you want to use that - ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
