Virgin Media price rise even though I signed up for new package in December 2020.

Read on MSE that
"Customers who joined Virgin Media or took out one of its new bundles from 29 June 2020 onwards are not affected as they already pay the provider's latest prices."
Been with Virgin since they were NTL and took out new package last month (Dec 2020).
However, just received email telling me my bill will go up by £3.50 from 1st March.
Anyone else in the same boat?

Yes, I'm in a similar position.
Been with Virgin for a long time, renegotiated our package in November, and now have been advised of a £3.50 increase.
It's a little disingenuous, but I'm not sure how I'll deal with it just yet.0 -
Yes.
Be aware that the automated offer of a £3.50 discount you will get when you call is only for six months. You will be deemed to have accepted the price increase at the end of the six months.0 -
We don't have fibre here (apart from virgin), so I'm kinda tempted to look into unlimited data sim cards and a 4g router. That plus freeview / prime / Netflix would probably be fine.0

I've raised a formal complaint with vm via their online complaint system, I'll see what that brings.0

I raised a complaint with VM because of it but going by past experiences with their emails I don't see much coming of it0
