Barclays Online Banking

Cutting to the chase, I need to change my business account (and personal) to a different provider because Barclays online banking is so awful that I’m prevented from even doing my accounts without jumping through a load of hoops. And their (offshore) “Customer Service” is even worse.
There seem to be so many offerings out there apart from the High St banks but I’d appreciate any recommendations for banks that have, in your opinion, a good online banking experience and decent customer/technical support (preferably uk based) - and it’s essential that I can pick up the phone and actually talk to somebody.
Thanks.

Something that works and decent tech support when it doesn’t!
In my case I’m unable to download PDFs of my statements to send to my accountant. When I open the statement in the browser it’s fine but if I select Print->Print To PDF it creates a copy containing the headers and footers no no actual content, i.e. no transactions. I can also do Save As but that just errors out. The file type in the Save As dialog is showing as .form which is wrong. It should be .pdf. I have no problems with pdf files on any other sites. As for their technical support, it involves a combination of using their “secure messaging” system to log an issue and Twitter. This I did in July and have tried all their suggestions, none of which work. I then get frustrated and go on Twitter at which point they tell my to log a complaint and the whole cycle starts all over again.
I actually work in IT and I can see what the problem almost certainly is - their software doesn’t work with the latest Windows update. As an aside, I can download the statements to my mobile then email them to myself and do what I need to do with them on my laptop but it’s a whole load of tedious jumping through hoops that I could do without! Better just move somewhere with an offering that actually works!

There is some incompatibility - as I said possibly with a Window update - I’m on Windows 100

As you seem to be able to download a PDF in the Barclays app, it seems easy enough to send that PDF to a Dropbox folder that you can share with your accountant.0 -

Unless you're using the legacy version of Microsoft Edge as your browser, Windows Update shouldn't make a difference.

Problem solved (I’ve been on this all day as I have a lot of time on my hands 😌)
It works when I go in from profile ->my Barclays documents I get a direct link to download whereas when I go in from view statements on the ac summary page I’m opening the statement in the browser’s pdf viewer & that’s where the issue occurs. I think I can live with that.
Thanks for the suggestions.1
