Virgin Media price increases

I have just been informed my package will increase by £3.50 a month from March. This is a 6.5% increase which raises my monthly bill to £58. This follows a 7% increase in April 2019.
In January 2019 RPI was 2.7% and CPI 1.8%. January 2020 RPI was 0.9% and CPI 0.3%.
Virgin are currently offering new customers an 18 month contract for £29.99 a month for the same service I am receiving.
Virgin made profits of £514million last year.
There is no capacity in my area for FTTP so Virgin have an effective monopoly which leaves me no alternative provider.
It is not possible to complain to OfCom as an individual and I await the outcome of my complaint with Virgin. I complained last year but was just told I was on a good deal and I could leave if I wished!
Have any of you been able to negotiate with Virgin, ideally to move on to a 'new' customer deal? Any appetite for some collective complaint to OfCom?

FTTP is rolling out  from BT .
Monopoly  not if you are able to get normal Open Reach services  .
Cannot see how Ofcom can force a private company into doing what you want .

Unlikely.  Most of the VM network is coaxial to the premises.  There is some FTTP in the newly cabled areas.
  • I'm wishing to change my package in order to reduce cost. Currently £70.50pm
The online upgrade buttons go to an Opps! Sorry, we’re unable to change your package online.message
150 from my virgin phone gets a busy tone and the 0345 number cuts off before connection.
Is there another way to contact Virgin Media?
    Thanks

No, I tried 3 years ago, it was poor, 30 day notice given, no phone call to stay.
