as long as they can open the windows you don't need any, just give them what you have.

It depends. Do all the locks use different keys?

How many keys do you have, and why would you not leave every single one?

Provided you leave keys that will open all the wondows the actual number does not matter. In any case they cost peanuts online.

i didnt say i wont leave every single one.

i asked because i dont actually HAVE a key for every lock and was wondering if there was a  legally required minimum

i have a total of 18 locks which all open with the same key and i have five keys

i also have one very small window which has a different lock, but no key to it, it opens

We had the same problem and just bought some more from replacement keys. It was pretty easy to identify our key from the pictures.

I would just make sure you leave at least one window key in each room so new people don’t have to go hunting for them
