I think the £60 travel to the airport is on you, you really should have known that the Portuguese authorities would outrank Teletext on the question of who is allowed into the country!
Did you get an ATOL Certificate when you booked because if you did and you could not travel, Teletext has a legal obligation to refund in full including the flight element. However, a quick review of Teletext reviews would tell you that you probably shouldn't have booked with them in the first place and now that you have, extracting funds may be difficult, but I suspect that is what your insurers will tell you to do before they offer any form of cover, assuming you are covered in the first place.
Whilst the OP came back to the thread a couple of times he never answered or addressed the points on travel insurance. I wonder therefore if he actually had any insurance cover in place.
