Has anyone heard of this company?

I was involved in a rear collision in November, my car was hit from behind whilst I was stationary at traffic lights. I made a claim online, but inadvertently filled in an online claim form which I thought was my insurers. However, after I received a couple of calls from The Legal Advice Centre, I realised what I’d done, so explained that I was claiming through my insurers and that I wished to stop proceedings immediately.

Several weeks have gone by and today, I’ve received 7 phone calls from a man called Jamie from this LAC, despite me telling him on the first call that the accident was being dealt with by my insurers. He’s left 2 incredibly rude voicemails and told me that I can try blocking his calls but they will keep calling. I cannot contact them and can find no information on google about them.

Can anyone advise if there’s anything I can do?

Thanks

Block his calls on your mobile. Even if they keep calling from a different number, just put the phone down on them and block that number. They won't persevere for long. Have you told your insurer that there is a website is impersonating them?
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

Buy an acme thunderer and give him the good news. They won't ring again.

I blocked the number and I have no idea how he managed to bypass that block. I told the insurer at the start that I’d made this mistake. As I mentioned, I made it clear once I’d realised that I wasn’t going to proceed with them and to stop contacting me, which they did, this is a new thing today.

I will hang up each & every time they call but I just wondered if there was anything else I can do.

They have multiple virtual numbers.  I had one guy call me from 7 different numbers within 30 minutes.  On was Drumnadrochit, the home of the Loch Ness Monster museum and within 5 minutes he was calling from the Isle of Skye.  Register all your numbers with Telephone Preference Service.  They risk a heavy fine for persisting in calling you once your are completely live on the TPS database.

The potential issue here is the company may be able to claim the calls aren't unsolicited due to the op completing their online claim form therefore opening the door to legitimate contact in accordance with sign up t&c's.

On the messages this guy left, he said all I had to do was tell him that my insurers are dealing with my claim and they’ll stop calling me. I’ve told him that already and told the company previously. I’m grateful for the advice, I think I’ll just have to persevere with not answering their calls and hope they give up soon.

That's true but it will be valid when (not if) the details are passed on to a third party claims company.
  • Hello folks.
Today, I received a 'Single Justice Procedure Notice' in the post regarding an alleged driving offence.

In September, I was accused by a Police Officer of driving down a One way route in the opposing direction to the one way arrow markings and No Entry sign.

He wrote me a ticket out and told me I would hear from them in due course etc...

Upon opening the 'Single Justice Procedure Notice' letter today, the vehicle registration that I was alleged to have been driving is different to my actual vehicle registration.
My vehicle registration ends with a 'U'
On the 'Single Justice Procedure Notice' I was alleged to have been driving a Skoda with vehicle registration number ending with 'V'
Can I just respond with 'I have never owned nor have I ever driven a Skoda with the registration AXXX XXV?

The incorrect registration was also written on the Police Officer's ticket, of which I have a copy.

    Please advise.

    Thank You.

You need to start your own thread, but the short answer is no- well you can, but it won't make any difference, you are bang to rights.
They can correct an obvious typo.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
