I will be looking to transfer a balance from my HALIFAX CC to my MBNA CC in July. However, I read somewhere that they are both owned by Lloyds and was wondering if because of this I will not be able to do balance transfers between the two?

I have done Lloyds to Halifax previously but was a few years ago.
Ask MBNA and depending on the answer prepare to apply for a card outside the Lloyds banking group.1 -

As usually any balance transfers have to be made within 90 days of opening the account.Life in the slow lane0 -

True, but not always a good deal unless they have offers on them.Life in the slow lane0

My credit cards always have current offers for balance transfers and in the past I've made use of them when I've needed to.0

You'll need to ask MBNA; they're both brands of Lloyds Banking Group so I wouldn't expect them to offer promotional rates for this kind of transfer.1

Okay - I've just come off the phone with MBNA and I can indeed do a balance transfer from my HALIFAX cc to my MBNA cc
Also I have two balance transfer offers available to as an existing MBNA customer.1 -
Does it have to be MBNA?
You could go for the new Barclaycard offer and get £20 bonus (instead of you paying a fee) for transferring your balance to them. On condition that you're transferring at least £2500.
