I opened several accounts with Shawbrook online quickly and easily. Verification of ID was done electronically, I did not need to provide anything. CS was efficient. As far as the window for deposits is concerned, that is information I couldn’t find either,  but be aware that offers are pulled frequently these days, so once it is closed to new depositors you won’t be able to add to your fixed term account.

We have had Shawbrook cash ISAs for a few years, the only problem we have had is trying to register Power of Attorney with them (still haven't managed it) there is a form to fill in but it is for opening an attorney's account.

They have two POA forms - one for opening and account, and one for adding a POA person to an existing account https://www.shawbrook.co.uk/media/3476/sb_sv_adding_power-of-attorney-20201105.pdf

colsten, thank you for that, looking at the date on the form it was put out in November last year and I gave up trying about June, I rang them and emailed them and they pointed me to the other form saying that was the only one.

I'm looking at five year fixed accounts and see that Shawbrook Bank is offering 1.25%
Did you go with the 5 year fix in the end?

This thread is nearly 18 months old and Ximian hasn't been active on the forum since January 2021 so you may not get an answer.  I think the current 5 year rate is 2.80% by the way.
