Been with Talktalk for a few years .My contract ends JAN 24 . My special new rate will be £36 pm as opposed to my current £31.95 .Now that is a superb loyalty reward only a 12.5 % rise .

Use a broadband switching calculator to find out if you can get anything cheaper and then either switch to them or maybe first call TalkTalk and see if they can match it0

That's insurance industry only AFAIK
Ofcom stated September 2019:Price commitments
We challenged broadband companies to make their prices fairer for out-of-contract customers.
As a result of our review, the UK’s biggest broadband companies have made a range of commitments to protect customers and cut prices for those who are out of contract.
- BT, Sky and TalkTalk will allow out-of-contract customers to get the same deals as new customers, when they take out a new contract. (BT will only allow existing customers to access new customer prices when sending end-of-contract and best tariff notifications.)
I can't post links yet, but for full details search Ofcom fairer-prices-for-broadband-customersWhen I renewed BT staff said they knew nothing about this agreement, but eventually backed down and gave me a discounted price equivalent to a new customer.
