Then I suggest you have a fault.ck7ah said:
Yes I have filled it up until the water starts pouring out. Then after the wash is complete, it asks for more saltneilmcl said:Have you actually filled it up with dishwasher salt?
Yes, the area that contains the salt will be full of water but you still need to fill it up all the way.1 -
Ignore the water and put as much salt as the container takes. It's a really big amount.ck7ah said:

It looks like the sensor on the salt pot could be faulty, or the little float in the salt pot is stuck, I would imagine you’d have to call an engineer0

it is a fault on your dishwasher. it should be able to detect the level of salt in the reservoir and the light comes on if there is no salt in there or low level of salt.
i was told that if you don't use salt then it shortens the lifespan of the dishwasher as the dishwasher will clog up. using the dishwasher tablets is not enough to stop the lime scale killing off the dishwasher. i used to think that the salt was to get clear glasses from the wash but i was told it is about prolonging the dishwasher longevity.0 -
Come on, guys...The sensor detects the salinity of the liquid in the salt container. The salt container is always full of water. The OP adds salt "until the water starts pouring out". Of course, the water starts pouring out after very small amount of salt added, that is miles away from the correct amount needed. As simple as that.

We've already stated in a number of posts that the reservoir needs filling to the brim with salt, I'm assuming that the OP understands this and has acted accordingly.grumbler said:Come on, guys...The sensor detects the salinity of the liquid in the salt container. As I said earlier, fill it up with salt, all the way, to the top, until it is full of salt, no water left.grumbler said:neilmcl said:I'm assuming that the OP understands this and has acted accordingly.Wrong assumption."Yes I have filled it up until the water starts pouring out.
