Uralmaid. Fab post. Love the sound of magenta hair. If you like it keep it. You don't have to go grey just because you're hitting a milestone birthday. Alas I didn't have a choice. My hair turned white within weeks of my husband getting sick, I was 55. It never recovered. It is pure white (think Miranda Priestly in "Devil Wears Prada") with no pigment at all so it just will not "grab" a colour, unless I resort to harsh chemicals. I once moaned at my hairdresser who answered me with "are you nuts, I have ladies who pay a fortune to have white hair like yours". I guess we're never satisfied. Lol.

I too love bling. A girl can never have enough sparkles in her life. 😁. I had to laugh at the jacket comment….tell your husband he's an amateur with "only" 9 jackets. I have about 30 coats/jackets…….still buying if I see something I fancy. I've just ordered a burgundy velvet number.

I got rid of my car, I hate driving and I can manage well enough without one.

However……….🤭

I am thinking of getting something like a lambretta type scooter. Relive my Mod days. Lol Just for tassing around the village where I live. A car would be a total waste of money for the amount of driving I would need to do but a scooter would be fun.

New sofa has arrived, looks fab. Half way through sorting out the garage, getting there. I've also booked a company who collects unwanted clothes etc for charity. It's a free service and you can nominate the charity you wish to donate to from one of the charities they partner with. I have chosen one which helps victims of DV.

Perfect autumn day here, warm sunshine and none of that awful humidity we had a few weeks ago. Watched the last of the 7 Up programmes. As I suspected, it was very moving. Bitter sweet. End of an era, made me reminisce and review my own life.

Every new year I choose a motto or mantra This year I turned 75 and my chosen mantra has been "Not Done Yet."

@helensbiggestfan Thanks. Glad the sofa is just as you were hoping. I am very jealous of your hair. That is the colour I would like. Because there is still some magenta in my remaining hair, I can't bleach it then put a silver tint on it. I just know I will end up dying it again as I hate the boring brown. I haven't got even the slightest hint of grey in my natural colour.
