In other news..... I have 3 days left in my school. I've been there for 24 years and teaching for 29 years. Thursday is going to be very emotional but I'm so ready to move on now.
Secured my self a job too last week! Just a part time role that will top up my pension. Looking forward to new experiences and adventures and already have some planned trips that are NOT in school holidays! Now there is a saving 😊0 -

So yesterday I retired.
This is my kitchen table. There were many tears shed. My leavers assembly was truly wonderful

Hope you have a long and happy retirement. 🥂1 -
Well with it being the first weekend of the school holidays I've redone my spreadsheet to take into account how my spending habits have changed recently.
I had been setting aside far too much for groceries so have reduced it by £50 a month. Still possibly on the high side though. But the difference is fairly considerable per year.
The latest round of fixes has also seen my energy bills go up a little but still faring well compared to the price cap. So good news there.
Have also factored in this year's pay rise (4%) and tidied up the ISA/savings rates.
Plus increased the holiday budget.
I also spotted a pension error for my retirement year in 2 years so have amended that. And taken off my Halifax reward (only £5/month) as that's coming to an end in a few months.
All in all it's still looking good.
