We get hundreds of posts a day. If everyone clarified everything the newbies thread says already, you would double that again. Each time you post, you're creating an expectaiton that a regular will answer you .

Update:
I have recived my hearing date 20/06/20, it is being held over zoom.
I have recived the WS from the claimant and am currently drafting my own. Is there anybody on here who I could send a copy to ro critique before I forward it to the claimant and court next week by any chance?
Kind regards

I will not be able to attend the hearing unfortunately as I will be deployed at the time (i have a letter from my CO confirming this which will be attended to my WS). What dramas will this potentially cause? And should I seek to get the hearing date postponed?
Kind regards0 -
Just post your WS on here for critique but make sure you redact any personal details. When you submitted your DQ did you give any dates when you would be unavailable due to being deployed? If so, you need to go back to the court and explain that; if you didn't you need to seek a postponement (and evidence from your CO will be good) as defendants have to attend the hearing - even by zoom. You do not want the hearing to be "on papers only".2

You can ask , but any official route involves you paying money so won't be worth it !!2

This might be useful...
From the Civil Court Fees (EX50)...No fee is payable for an application by consent for an adjournment of a hearing if received by the court at least 14 days before the date of the hearing.Looks like you need to get the agreement of the Claimant quite quickly though.2 -
Bear in mind that if they say no and you are unavailable , you must inform them that you won't be attending , plus you must inform the claimant or lawyer too. If you lose , you only get 30 days to pay it , in full , to avoid any CCJ2
