Giving Up/Cutting Down Alcohol Thread Part 17

Terrific achievement RobM99. Inspired as always by your sheer positivity. You are clearly very much part of the live music scene, I imagine a great deal of that is spent in rock pubs /venues where there is always alcohol available and being offered around, which sort of make it even more impressive. A lot more opportunities to give in to temptation than just staying at home every night, I’d have thought?
28/31 please cathybird, thank you. I’d really like to reel off another AF month.3 -
Well done Rob, I'm on 380 day since I started counting, that a whole years worth.I'm now on 14/18 for the month. I think I could miss target this month but you know, holidays.

Sunny morning all, urgh.
Two 0230 bedtimes in a row and today, up normal time, I hate those late-nights-get-up-about-11 as it throws the body clock into paroxysms of chaos. Or similar.
The show went really well last night,we moved the PA (main speaker columns) so I could move the light rigs where I wanted them. I even had one band say how great the lighting was. We're a bunch of people taken for granted!
Further to @Season_of_Mist yes, of course there's alcohol everywhere at music venues (and - er - other 'enhancements'!) but no, I'm not remotely tempted. Seeing some people's antics reinforces that. Some guy had a 'go' at me because I couldn't let him "do a song". It's a gig, mate, not a karaoke! He pointed at me and shouted "I can't do a song becuase he hates me!"No, I'm just doing the lights. He then went on to 'dance' like a hungry baby chimp on speed finding a bunch of bananas. Maybe he was too! Plus of course I have to drive.
To conclude, guys'n'gals, it's 29/30 here and still 100% alc'free for Aug. That gold star is just around the corner. Again!
And Target September (sounds like a film title) - I'll go for 29/30 otherwise I can't get a full set of emojis! Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!5 -

It's a Ben Elton style of writing, seen a lot in Blackadder. "Is he mad? He's madder that Mad Jim McMad, winner of the world's maddest man competition!". "He's wetter thasn a fish's wet bits!"
As for me - I'm just cool. Cooler than a cucumber in Ray Bans in a fridge in Paris. Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!4
