Good afternoon everyone. Thank you for your good wishes. Husband and I had a low key but very nice anniversary yesterday. I did drink as planned: half our traditional bottle of champagne and one glass of red wine. Today I won't be drinking so finishing the month on 30/25 please cathybird. Thank you. X

Kept it sensible but not been an AF day.

@AllNightDiner thanks, that little gem is now saved in the notes on my phone. 

@Mollypolly1956 you can do this 100%, people on this thread are generally amazing and will be behind you all the way. If you slip, there will be people here who won't pass judgement but have good advice because they've been there. @cathybird does an amazing job keeping track and don't underestimate the motivation of having others working towards a common goal and a (virtual) sticker or two! Been there before you can do it again, I have a hard time believing that myself sometimes but my experience of recovery so far is you must believe you can get back on the wagon because there's going to be hard times and potential slips / relapses (whether that's in a literal sense because it's an addiction or a period of heavier drinking when trying to cut down). Don't be unduly hard on yourself but keep yourself accountable. (I think, again, the same applies to cutting down tbh, actually find applying this logic to alcohol rather than what I actually have an addiction to is plainer sailing - easier to be objective about something I can control better probably)
